Tiffany Haddish Bombs New Year’s Eve Stand-Up Show, Says “It Will Never Happen Again”
We all love Tiffany Haddish when she walks into a room and hollers “She ready!” But as some fans pointed out last night at her New Year’s Eve stand-up show at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, “She not ready.”
The Girls Trip star didn’t have a good night at her show. In fact, she bombed. Audience members started walking out during her show where a lot of her jokes weren’t landing — at least the ones she remembered. She forgot a lot of her jokes and her fans did not hold back to express their dissatisfaction. They took to Twitter saying how bad her show was.
Haddish didn’t waste any time to address the tweets and the show. She owned up to bombing and tweeted, “Yes this happened. I wish it was better Miami. I prayed on it and I have a strong feeling this will never [happen] again.”
Maybe her show didn’t go as well because of the night before. Haddish posted an Instagram video the day of her Miami show saying that she partied all night — and the morning. Nonetheless, she says she was ready for her NYE show. Unfortunately, her fans disagreed.
One audience member tweeted, “She wasn’t funny, it was hard to watch. Her jokes bombed started asking people in the front row if they had questions. Then she said people not good on their job everyday.” Another agreed with the sentiment writing, “tiffany haddish#SHENotReady – Went to see show in Miami it was terrible. Walked out”
Another fan took a video of the show and wrote, “I went to go see if @TiffanyHaddish was actually funny. I ended up doing this. Conclusion: She is not funny. Horrible show. In her defense, she said she was having a rough night. She didn’t have to be up there. She ended up inviting me up on stage to tell jokes.”
Yes this happened. I wish it was better Miami. I prayed on it and I have a strong feeling this will never happened again. Tiffany Haddish Bombs, Drinks with Fans Instead https://t.co/4QxPn0j0xc via @TheRoot
