Listen To The Complete Kingdom Hearts 3 Theme Song Right Now

The countdown is officially on and Kingdom Hearts 3 is gearing up for release on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and leading up to the big day Square Enix dropped the official theme song for the JRPG. The best part about it is that you don't need any special pre-order bonuses or special editions to listen to the song ahead of the game's release. Give it a listen right now.

The theme song was posted up over on Proximity's YouTube channel, featuring Utada Hikaru teaming up with Skrillex for the "Face My Fears" song. The song clocks in at three minutes and 40 seconds. The pop-song starts off with a simple piano melody before escalating into a dubstep piece, featuring a lot of fast beats and a groovy tune that you can both sing along with and dance to as well.

If you aren't into the electronic breakbeat sound then you may not be the biggest fan of the song, but the people dropping into the comment section to listen to the song seem to enjoy it a great deal. There's a lot of praise for the way the song handles the lyrical transitions and most people are just happy that Skrillex is back with a brand new song. He was one of the first artists to really push dubstep into mainstream and at one point it was practically everywhere, including appearing in Sonic Generations trailers, and the music genre even managed to nab a spot as an actual weapon in the Saints Row games.

Others were just happy that they were able to finally listen to the full version of the theme song for the game as opposed to the shortened version of the song that has been used in a few of the trailers leading up to the release of Kingdom Hearts 3.

The game has been a real labor of love for the developers who are moving into the final stretch of the game's release.

Director Tetsuya Nomura has been leading the charge on the production of the game for the last half decade where he's also been juggling the production of Final Fantasy VII's remake as well. He put the latter game on the back burner while focusing on finishing up Kingdom Hearts 3, which is the biggest game that the studio has worked on, next to Final Fantasy XV.

Square Enix has gone all out in adding in as many different worlds from Disney's catalog of properties, including Tangled and Frozen joining other brand new worlds within the Kingdom Hearts franchise such as Big Hero 6 and Hercules. I'm a little shocked that Finding Nemo didn't make an appearance.

You can look to get your hands on the JRPG on January 29th for the Xbox One or the PS4. While you wait for the release date to arrive you can listen to the theme song a few dozen times to sate your anticipation for one of 2019's biggest releases.
