Lady Gaga Brings Out Bradley Cooper for Surprise ‘Shallow’ Performance In Las Vegas
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper brought a little Hollywood magic to Las Vegas, surprising the crowd at Gaga’s show with a performance of “Shallow,” their award-winning duet from the film A Star Is Born.
Cooper was in the audience for Gaga’s residency, Enigma, at Park MGM. Video posted on social media showed Gaga inviting her co-star and director onstage to perform the track together live for the first time since the film’s release.
“So a really good friend of mine… I don’t know if you know him, but his name is Bradley. He made that movie, umm, A Star Is Born,” she told the audience.
After a little encouragement from the crowd, Cooper walked onstage and embraced the singer. After telling the audience, “Hello Vegas,” he took his place on a stool with the pop star seated at his feet, and belted out the first verse. Gaga then sat at the piano to sing the rest of the track, as Cooper looked on.
The singer-actress is fresh off a best original song Oscar nomination, and is expected to perform “Shallow” next month at the Academy Awards.
A Star is Born is up for seven other Oscars, including Best picture, Best Actress for Gaga and Best Actor for Cooper. The one category where the film came away empty, notably, was Best Director.
“Shallow” has already won best song awards at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards.
