The new Showtime series “Black Monday” follows the lives of some of the craziest characters in the ‘80s stock market scene as they experience the biggest drop in financial history. The series examines how a group of misfit traders could bring down the entire financial system and lead to people literally jumping out of buildings. Oh, and it has a new trailer, with a Lil’ Wayne song acting as the soundtrack because…why not?

“Black Monday” comes from executive producers Rogen and Goldberg and stars Don Cheadle, Regina Hall, Andrew Rannells, and Paul Scheer. With a cast like that, and the aforementioned producers, it’s safe to say that viewers really don’t have any clue what they’re agreeing to experience when they sit down to watch this series.

“Black Monday” is scheduled to premiere on Showtime on January 20.

Here’s the synopsis:

BLACK MONDAY takes viewers back to October 19, 1987 – aka Black Monday, the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street. To this day, no one knows who caused it … until now. It’s the story of how a group of outsiders took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine, and the glass ceiling.
