Wanda To Install 100 RealD Ultimate Screens Across China

Wanda Cinema Line Corporation has signed a purchase agreement with RealD to install no less than 100 of their Ultimate Screens across their theater circuits in China over the next two years.

Most of the 100 RealD Ultimate Screens will be installed in Wanda Cinema Line’s premium cinemas. The first auditoriums to equip RealD Ultimate Screens will be the Wanda Cinema Beijing Tongzhou Branch, Beijing CBD Branch, Beijing Tiantongyuan Branch and Wanda Nantong Branch.  The four screens are scheduled to be installed by the end of March 2019.

The deal continues RealD and Wanda Cinema Line’s successful partnership and collaboration. In 2016, RealD and Wanda signed the world’s largest 3D system installation agreement to install 4,000 RealD 3D systems over four years.

RealD Ultimate Screen technology is used in premium and Premium Large Format auditoriums.  The screen is currently installed in 108 cinema locations in 41 cities worldwide.  Around 40% of the installations are in RealD’s premium cinema offerings: LUXE: A RealD Experience and RealD Cinema in the Greater China market. RealD’s theatres includes more than 30K installed screens with a pipeline of 3K additional contracted installations in 75 countries with over 1,2K exhibition partners.
