‘Survivor’ Tops Night Of Scripted Fall Finales
On a night of scripted series fall finales for ABC, CW and CBS, latter’s Survivor (1.5 demo rating, 7.714 million viewers) was Wednesday’s No. 1 show in total viewers and in the demo.
With a repeat Empire (0.6, 2.182M) on Fox, and no Chicago Med on NBC to contend with, Survivor scored its largest audience since its season premiere, though it came in flat in the demo.
Lack of original drama competition also helped CBS’ SEAL Team (1.0, 6.543M) which jumped 2/10ths in the demo and added 1.2 million viewers over last week, and Criminal Minds (0.8, 5.401M) which inched up 1/10th in the demo and posted its largest overall crowd since April 4.
ABC’s The Goldbergs (1.1, 5.287M), American Housewife (1.0, 4.609M) and Modern Family (1.4, 5.706M) all scored season highs in total viewers. Single Parents (0.9, 3.618M) and A Million Little Things (0.7, 3.367M) also grew in overall audience.
CW’s dramas Riverdale (0.4, 1.208M) and All American (0.2, 712K) stayed steady week to week, though Riverdale was off by 1/10th compared to last year’s fall finale, demo-wise.
NBC aired holiday editions of Ellen’s Game of Games (1.2, 5.949M) and Little Big Shots (0.8, 5.211M), capping the night with a repeat of A Legendary Christmas With John and Chrissy (0.4, 2.247M).
CBS (1.1, 6.553M) topped the night in both metrics, followed by ABC (1.0, 4.325M) in the demo and NBC (0.8, 4.469M) in total viewers. Fox (0.5, 1.902M) and CW (0.3, 960K) followed.
