‘I Feel Bad’ Wraps On Par; ‘Big Bang Theory’ Makes Most Ratings Noise On Thursday

NBC wrapped first season of I Feel Bad  with two originals in a sea of repeats Thursday, without resulting ratings hoopla. At 8 PM (0.5, 2.500M) the first episode clocked the show’s biggest overall audience since its October 4 regular-slot launch, and its best demo rating since October 18. The season finale that followed 0.4, 1.936M) slid back down.

CBS prevailed on the repeat-jammed Thursday, on the strength of its 8 PM Big Bang Theory (1.0, 6.475M).

ABC and Fox moved moved sitcom repeats onto the night – ABC’s from its Tuesday lineup and Fox from its Friday slate. Respectable results ensued.

ABC’s 8 PM Happy New Year, Charlie Brown (0.7, 3.354M), battling that Big Bang Theory encore and a repeat Young Sheldon (0.8, 5.978M), as well as Fox’s 8 PM Last Man Standing (0.5, 2.487M), tumbled 2/10th in the demo and18% in total viewers compared to last year’s Tuesday airing.

ABC followed its one-hour Charlie Brown special with repeats of The Conners (0.6, 2.453M; 0.4, 2.027M) on the hour and Kids Are Alright (0.4, 1.849M; 0.3; 1.727M) on the half hour.

Fox similarly alternated repeats of Last Man Standing (0.5, 2.487M; 0.5, 2.279M) on the hour, and The Cool Kids (0.4, 2.109M; 0.5, 2.169M) on the half hour.

CBS’s established comedies doubled Last Man Standing and The Cool Kids from 8-9 PM. CBS followed with repeats of Mom (0.8, 5.203M), Neighborhood (0.6, 3.988M) and, at 10 PM, S.W.A.T (0.5, 3.310M). No other network churned up demo ratings of 0.8 and 1.0.

After its two I Feel Bad broadcasts, NBC aired a two-hour repeat Law & Order: SVU (0.5, 2.973M), which inched up by 1/10th and just over 1M viewers from its first half hour to its fourth.

CBS (0.7, 4.710M) won primetime in both metrics Thursday night. NBC (0.5, 2.721M), ABC (0.5, 2.460M) and Fox (0.5, 2.261M) engaged in a three-way tie for No. 2 in the demo with NBC faring best of the three in total viewers. CW (0.1, 748K) followed, with repeats of Supernatural (0.2, 908K) and Legacies (0.2, 588K).
