Donald Trump Says “People Would Revolt” If He Was Impeached
As we continue this saga that we call the Trump administration, Donald Trump thinks everything is A-OK and is not worried about being impeached in after his former personal attorney Michael Cohen said he made payments to two women so that they would not discuss their alleged affairs with the former host of The Apprentice. Trump insists that the payments were not illegal and did not violate campaign finance laws.
“It’s hard to impeach somebody who hasn’t done anything wrong and who’s created the greatest economy in the history of our country,” said Trump in an interview with Reuters.”I’m not concerned, no. I think that the people would revolt if that happened.”
Earlier this year it was reported that Cohen paid six-figure sums to adult film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal who both claim that had a sexual relationship with Trump. He has since denied the affairs, but he did acknowledge that he repaid Cohen for the $130,000 that he paid to Daniels. This was after he claimed he didn’t know anything about the payments.
On Wednesday, Cohen is set to be sentenced for his involvement in the payments to Daniels and McDougal.
