Anne Hathaway & Tiny Fey Join An All-Star Cast For Amazon’s Upcoming Anthology Series ‘Modern Love’
Amazon Studios has recently finished up releasing the star-studded anthology series, “The Romanoffs,” from “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner. And just on the heels of that series’ big debut, the studio has announced that there’s another major anthology series on the horizon, titled “Modern Love,” with perhaps an even bigger-name cast.
Amazon announced that headlining the new anthology series “Modern Love” are Anne Hathaway and Tina Fey (via The Wrap). The series is based on the popular New York Times column and weekly podcast of the same name. “Modern Love” is said to “explore love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms.”

Hathaway was most recently seen in the summer hit film “Ocean’s 8.” Next, she’ll star in the upcoming psychological thriller “Serenity,” which also features Matthew McConaughey. And on the horizon, Hathaway has films “The Hustle,” “The Last Thing He Wanted,” and “O2.”
Fey is probably best known for her work on “Saturday Night Live” and her long-running sitcom “30 Rock.” However, since then, the comedic actress has starred in “Sisters,” “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” and the upcoming film “Wine Country.”
Joining Hathaway and Fey in the all-star anthology series are John Slattery, Dev Patel, Catherine Keener, Andy Garcia, Cristin Milioti, Brandon Victor Dixon, Olivia Cooke, Andrew Scott, Julia Garner, Shea Whigham, Gary Carr, Sofia Boutella, and John Gallagher, Jr.

“It’s like I woke up in the actor candy store. We’ve managed to assemble a dream cast of my favorite actors. It’s a testament to the reach of the original column and of how, now more than ever, love is the only certainty,” said “Modern Love’s” writer, director, and creator John Carney.
“Modern Love” has announced its slate of directors, as well, which includes Tom Hall, Sharon Horgan, and Emmy Rossum, best known for her acting work on the Showtime series “Shameless.”
There’s no release date set for “Modern Love,” but the series is now in production in New York.
